53rd GRAMMY AWARD

The 53rd annual Grammy award took place last night at L.A.'s Staples Center arena and featured stars from music and television came together to the Grammy Academy's annual celebration.

In Hip-Hop, Eminem was nominated for ten awards but was victorious in only two; “Best Rap Album” for Recovery and “Rap Solo Performance for “Not Afraid.”
Cee-Lo, who stole the show in a glittering colored feather costume, won “Best Urban/Alternative Performance” for his track “F**K You” which he performed with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Jay-Z, he is absent and took home three Grammys; “Best Rap Song” for “Empire State Of Mind” with Alicia Keys as well as “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration” and “Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group” for “On To The Next One” with Swizz Beatz.
Other winners were Esperanza Spalding, who shocked the crowd by beating out Drake and Justin Beiber for “Best New Artist” and John Legend and The Roots who won three.
